CouponBound writes about digital products and software — reviews, comparisons, rankings and roundups, coupon and deal posts, how-to guides and tutorials, and general blog articles. We do not sell, host or supply the products we write about.

Definitions and Terminology

Collected automatically

Retargeting and Audience Lists

- List-based custom audiences. Where you have given us your email address, we may provide a hashed, non-readable version of it to an advertising platform such as Meta so our ads reach you rather than an unrelated audience.
Nothing beyond promoting our own content and offers is involved. We do not provide your details to the vendors whose products we review, and we do not permit advertising platforms to use your information for their own purposes beyond matching our audience.
You can opt out at any time. Block or delete advertising cookies through your browser settings, unsubscribe from our emails, or email us at admin [a] couponbound.com to be excluded from our custom audiences. You can also manage ad personalisation in the advertising platform’s own ad preferences.
Do Not Track Signals

Who We Share Information With
Only the service providers keeping the Website running receive anything, and only what their function demands:

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your email address with the vendors whose products we review, and we do not provide your personal data to advertisers or marketing partners for their own purposes.
The only exception is the retargeting described above, where a hashed version of your email address may be matched by an advertising platform so we can reach you with our own content. Under California law this may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising, and you can opt out at any time.
A legal requirement, the enforcement of our Terms, or the protection of rights, property or safety belonging to the Website, our readers or the public may also lead to disclosure.
If Ownership Changes
In the event CouponBound is sold, merged, or transfers substantially all of its assets, information held about you may go to the acquiring party, so long as that party agrees to honour the terms of this Privacy Policy.
How Long We Keep Information
Retention lasts only as long as the purposes in this policy demand, and as long as the law requires of us.
Two things set the period — what kind of information it is, and why we hold it:
- Contact messages are kept while your enquiry is open and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you get in touch again about the same matter
- Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, after which we retain the minimum needed to honour your opt-out
- Analytics data is kept in line with the retention settings of our analytics provider
- Server logs are kept for the period needed to investigate security and performance issues
The same holds for anyone processing information for us. Once the need is gone and no legal or regulatory reason remains, we delete it or anonymise it so you can no longer be identified.
International Transfers
The Website is run from outside the European Economic Area, and storage or processing by our service providers may take place in several countries, including the United States and countries in the European Union.
Where personal data originating in the EU, EEA or UK is transferred outside those regions, we rely on the safeguards our providers have in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or an applicable adequacy decision.
Safeguarding What We Hold
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are in place, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access among them.

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and to withdraw consent to its processing. We will honour these requests as far as applicable law allows.
How to exercise your rights

Please note that removing every trace of information is not always technically possible. Backups exist to protect against data loss, and a copy may persist in a non-erasable form for a limited period. We will update or delete data in our active systems as soon as is reasonably practicable.
Children’s Privacy
An adult readership is who the Website is built for, and it is not directed at children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13, or under 16 where local law sets that threshold.

Vendor websites, affiliate networks and third-party review platforms all receive links from the Website. This Privacy Policy covers none of them.
The privacy policy of whichever site you land on takes over the moment you follow a link away from here. Those sites may set their own cookies and collect their own information. Checking their privacy policy before giving them anything is time well spent.
Amendments to This Policy
Updates to this Privacy Policy may follow changes in our practices or in the law. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Where a change materially affects how we use your personal information, we will highlight it on the Website.
